Hours: 40-45 per week | Days, Monday-Thursday

We are working on behalf of a well-established food manufacturing business in Greenock who are looking to strengthen their engineering function with the appointment of a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (mechanical bias).

This is a days-based role within a stable, growing operation and offering long-term security.

The Role

Reporting into the Chief Engineer and working closely with the wider engineering team, your responsibilities will include:

Attending and resolving machinery breakdowns to minimise downtime

Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across site equipment

Prioritising reactive work in line with production targets

Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation

Working on a variety of process and packaging machinery, including:

Steam boilers

Compressors, pumps and valves

Conveyors, weighers and packaging machines

About You

To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:

HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)

Strong mechanical background with electrical fault-finding capability

Previous experience within food or FMCG manufacturing

A proactive, hands-on approach to maintenance and problem-solving
