Our client has a vacancy for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join this dynamic and forward thinking organisation which serves the transportation industry.\n\nIn the capacity of the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer:\n\nWorking as an integral part of a team.\nIncreasing machine uptime.\nOperating lean manufacturing techniques.\nPlanning and supporting 5s activities.\nImplementing Planned Maintenance (PM) Programmes.\nHousekeeping e.g. machine refurbishments\nParticipating in the internal multi-skilling programme.\nSupporting the manufacturing function.\nCarry out maintenance tasks in a timely manner to an acceptable standard.\nReporting to production supervisors for breakdown and completion hand over.\nCo-ordinate activities for the other engineers and contractors engaged on engineering support projects.\nResponsibility for all related aspects of EHS.\nIdentify and improve productivity opportunities through continuous improvement initiatives that are engineering related.\nTo provide specific support for engineering projects.\nTo provide technical expertise for FMEA.\nTo offer support for problem solving activities taking place on site.Qualifications & Functional Experience:\n\nHNC\nTime served engineering apprenticeship within a manufacturing engineering environment.\nseveral years-experience of working on modern machine tools, with PLC/CNC electrical and electronic control systems.\nA working knowledge of modern pneumatic and hydraulic systems and components and specifically experience working on Hydromat (Rotary's).\nMethodical, logical and able to make decisions
