Role - Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Location - Peterborough

Salary - £56K

Shifts - 3 on 3 Off Days & Nights 6-6

About the role:

I am working alongside a industry leading food manufacturer looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer. They are looking for someone confident working in a fast paced environment, complete preventative maintenance, fault finding and root cause analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regularly check plant and equipment to make sure they work well, serve their purpose, and improve them when needed. Report any issues or non-compliances.

  • Use monitoring and problem-solving techniques to get the most out of all equipment by reducing downtime through planned, scheduled, or reactive maintenance and continuous improvement.

  • Carry out regular audits to ensure compliance with AIB / EFSIS / GMP standards.

  • Understand your responsibilities under food safety laws (including HACCP) and work in line with them.

  • Ensure full compliance with all Company Quality, Food Safety, Health & Safety, and Environmental requirements.

  • Understand your responsibilities under food safety laws (including HACCP) and work in line with them.

  • Work with Production and Quality teams to improve processes, product quality, and customer service.

Experience/ Qualifications:

  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
  • An awareness of HACCP, PUWER, LOLA and COSHH
  • PC literate (Experience of MS Word, Lotus Notes and Excel Spreadsheets)
  • PLC Fault Finding - Siemens or Allen Bradley
  • Food Safety Level 2
  • FMCG, Food or Pharmaceutical Experience
