About the company

Join a leading manufacturer of high-quality feed products for the agricultural industry. They are looking for a proactive Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to strengthen their operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the production facility by effectively maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of mechanical and electrical equipment.

Time-served apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND).
Proven experience in a similar maintenance engineering role, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical maintenance techniques.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Experience with PLCs, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, and automated systems is advantageous.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to provide on-call cover as required.
Experience in the animal feed, food, or process manufacturing industry.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles.  Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical - Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery and equipment.
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and carry out effective fault diagnosis and repair.
Work with both mechanical and electrical systems (bias can be considered).
Support installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery upgrades.
Ensure all maintenance work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs.
Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide on-call support as part of a rota to respond to out-of-hours issues. About Us
