Naval Architect – Dockyard Operations & Design Location: Plymouth Type: Contract 6-12 Month Experience: 5 + years   About the Role We’re looking for a Naval Architect to support the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and development of dockyard and marine systems. You’ll work closely with customers and cross-disciplinary teams to deliver technical assessments, vessel surveys, and innovative design solutions that enhance dockyard capability and marine performance.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct naval architecture analyses, including stability, mooring, and structural assessments for vessels and floating infrastructure. Support design and modification projects to improve safety, reliability, and operational efficiency. Perform on-site vessel and dock surveys, producing clear reports and technical documentation. Apply classification and regulatory standards (e.g. Lloyd’s Register, DNV) to ensure compliance. Collaborate with mechanical, structural, electrical, and project engineers to deliver practical engineering outcomes. What You’ll Bring
