Baltic Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with Express Engineering, a leading Oil & Gas equipment manufacturer based in the North East, to support with their search for an experienced NDE Technical Manager. \n\nOverall Purpose: \n\nTo be the technical lead in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of NDE procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and the subject matter expert on all NDE methods including but not limited to: Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) and provide support to the business and supply chain on Radiography (RT) and Phased Array UT (PAUT).Key Duties: \n\nLeading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of NDE procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., ASNT, ISO 9712, EN, ASME, API).\nBeing the organisation's subject matter expert on all NDE methods including but not limited to: Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) and provide support to the business and supply chain on Radiography (RT) and Phased Array UT (PAUT).\nProviding technical leadership and support to internal inspection teams and third-party NDE contractors.\nReviewing customer specified NDE procedures and techniques for use in production and testing, ensuring their suitability for specific materials, geometries, and defect detection requirements.\nDeveloping and maintaining a training and certification program for NDE personnel in accordance with relevant certification schemes (e.g., ISO 9712, PCN).\nOverseeing the qualification and certification of NDE technicians; maintain certification records and ensure ongoing compliance.\nBeing the interface with customers, auditors, and regulatory bodies during inspections, audits, and technical reviews.\nSupporting root cause investigations and corrective actions related to NDE findings or quality issues.\nEnsuring all NDE work is performed safely and in accordance with company, regulatory, and environmental guidelines.\nStaying up to date with advances in NDE technologies and techniques and assess their relevance to current and future business needs.Key Requirements: \n\nHave extensive experience in NDE, including time in a supervisory or technical leadership role.\nHold certification to Level III in at least two major NDE methods (e.g., UT, RT, MT, PT) under ASNT, ISO 9712, or equivalent.\nHave strong knowledge of industry codes and standards (e.g., ASME, ASTM, ISO, API).\nBe experienced in working in a regulated environment.The Package: \n\nFrom £60,000 per annum depending on experience. \nMonday-Thursday 7:30AM-4:30PM, Friday 7:30AM-1:30PM(some flexibility offered).\n25 days annual holiday in addition to statutory bank holidays.\nHoliday Buy and Sell scheme.\nSalary Sacrifice Pension scheme.\nGenerous contractual sick pay scheme.\nEnhanced Maternity, Paternity and Adoption Pay.\nEmployee Assistance Programme.\nCycle to Work scheme.\nSports & Social Club.\nOn-site parking
