NEC Project Manager – Contract Opportunity


Location: Southeast UK & South Wales (Hybrid Working) – 2 positions available

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 12 months

Rate: £575–£648 per day (Inside IR35 via PAYE Umbrella)

Working Week: 37 hours

Clearance: BPSS (including DBS/DS, Financial Probity, Employment History) + Medical Questionnaire & Proof of Right to Work in the UK

On-site Requirement: Minimum 2 days per week at either office


About the Role

We’re seeking experienced NEC Project Managers to lead the delivery of major capital projects within the Distributed Energy Construction team. This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll take projects from concept to completion, ensuring strategic oversight, commercial excellence, and uncompromising safety standards.


You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, clients, and contractors to deliver innovative and sustainable energy solutions. From pre-construction planning to project handover, your leadership will shape outcomes that matter for communities and the business.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex capital projects, ensuring safety, budget, time, and quality targets are achieved.
  • Act as the senior point of contact for project delivery, interfacing with directors, clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Develop and implement construction strategies that minimise risk and maximise value.
  • Champion a strong Safety, Health, Environment & Wellbeing (SHEW) culture across all project teams.
  • Mentor and support project managers, fostering the next generation of delivery leaders.


What We’re Looking For

  • Proven track record delivering major capital projects (£50m+) in energy, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong experience with NEC3/4 contracts, stakeholder management, and driving cost and performance outcomes.
  • In-depth knowledge of CDM Regulations and SHEW compliance.
  • Industry-recognised project management qualifications (PRINCE2, APM, or equivalent).
  • Exceptional leadership, contractor management, and collaboration skills.
