Role Overview
We're hiring a Network Engineer to design, secure, and maintain robust network systems supporting critical infrastructure. The role blends traditional networking with hybrid cloud (Azure), with a strong emphasis on Fortinet technologies and network security.
This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days onsite in Portsmouth.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain secure network infrastructure (on-prem & cloud)
Configure and manage Fortinet firewalls and security appliances
Monitor performance and resolve network issues
Support Azure cloud and hybrid networking
Implement and maintain network security controls
Contribute to scalable, resilient architecture design
Required Experience
Hands-on experience with Fortinet technologies
Strong knowledge of traditional networking principles
Experience in Azure cloud networking
Understanding of firewalls, access controls, and security standards
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Nice to Have
Fortinet NSE, CCNA/CCNP, or cloud certifications
Automation or scripting experience
Background in utilities or infrastructure environments
