Network Operations Director - M25

This is a senior operational leadership role reporting directly to the MD on the M25, one of the busiest and strategically important stretches of road in Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
Leading the Network Operations Directorate team of 300 employees. Managing on-road operations including incident and emergency response, network access, control room activities, and network resilience. Ensuring safety and serviceability of the network 24/7 while meeting contractual and performance KPIs. Overseeing divisions including on-road operations, network management, and network services. Implementing effective incident response, emergency repairs, and winter gritting decisions. Ensuring compliance and excellence in fleet management and security operations. Engaging with multiple stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and resolve complex challenges.
Job Requirements:
Significant experience in highways operations infrastructure, construction, or a similar industry. Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams. Proven track record in effective stakeholder management and operational excellence. Experience in P&L management and driving high performance in network management and emergency response. Ability to make informed decisions quickly in a reactive environment. Proficiency in promoting regulatory compliance and safety protocols. Strong engagement skills with the capability to inspire teams and drive continuous improvement. Flexibility to undertake site visits, including overnight inspections and working from network offices.
