The Studio

A small, close-knit, design-led start-up shaking up the fabric and wallpaper space.

Already working with respected interior designers, boutique hotel groups and creative studios, this brand has built serious momentum through strong creative direction and a highly bespoke offering. Now, they’re ready to scale their trade and wholesale arm properly.

They need someone commercial to help lead that charge.


The Opportunity

This is not a corporate Head of Sales role.

This is a hands-on, sleeves-rolled-up growth position inside a growing start-up. You’ll sit close to the founders, influence direction, and build structure where needed. There’s no big sales team (yet). You are the new business engine.


You’ll take ownership of identifying opportunities, opening doors, pitching, negotiating, and guiding new clients through their first live project before handing over internally.

What You’ll Be Doing

Driving Growth

  • Identifying and securing new trade and wholesale clients
  • Targeting high-end interior designers, hotel groups, stockists and production partners
  • Expanding into new routes to market (showrooms, upholsterers, trade channels)
  • Building and managing your own pipeline and CRM process

Owning the Full Sales Journey

  • Leading pitches and commercial conversations
  • Negotiating high-value, highly bespoke projects
  • Managing the first project post-sale to ensure a seamless onboarding experience

Shaping Strategy

  • Developing a clear growth roadmap for trade and wholesale
  • Identifying international opportunities
  • Feeding market insight back into product and brand development

Working Closely with a Small Team

  • Collaborating directly with founders and the in-house creative team
  • Helping refine sales materials, pitch decks and trade assets
  • Acting as a commercial voice within the business


About You

  • Proven new business experience within interiors, textiles, furniture or a related design-led sector
  • A strong network across high-end UK interiors
  • Confident pitching and negotiating bespoke projects
  • Commercially sharp and comfortable discussing margins and scale
  • Experience managing a pipeline and CRM
  • Self-motivated and proactive — you won’t be micromanaged
  • Excited by small-team energy and start-up pace
