Full-Time New Graduate Mixed Animal Veterinary Surgeon - Newcastle Upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear

Job Details:

The client is seeking two Veterinary Surgeons to join their esteemed team following the relocation of two vets to New Zealand. This independent practice, established for over 100 years, is located in the heart of North East England. It offers a mixed animal focus with 85% small animals, 10% equine, and 5% farm animals, providing a comprehensive learning opportunity in all aspects of veterinary medicine. While some experience is preferred, new graduates are welcome.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct mixed animal veterinary services with a focus on small animals.
  • Participate in on-call duties, including one night per week with support from another vet.
  • Share bank holiday cover equally.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and training opportunities.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Ability to drive a manual vehicle in the UK.
  • Willingness to work with a mix of 85% small, 10% equine, and 5% farm animals.
  • Availability for one full weekend on call every six weeks, with compensatory days off.

What the Practice Offers:

  • Starting salary: £34,500 for a 4-day week, £39,000 for a 5-day week.
