Newly Qualified Salaried GP - ARRS (KEN PCN)

We have an exciting opportunity for a newlyqualified GP to join Kingstanding, Erdington & Nechells (KEN) PCN with availability for a full time or part time role. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic and forward-thinking Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT). Leadership and supervision will be provided by the Practice Partners and the PCN Clinical Director and you will have opportunities to attend team meetings and access peer support across the PCN. Main duties of the job The post-holder will manage a caseload and dealwith a wide range of health needs, ensuring thehighest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients. Thiswill include, but is not limited to, surgery and telephone consultations, home visits, administration, complying with the practices contracts (GMS/PMS/enhancedservices/DES). About us You will be employed on behalf of the PCN by OurHealth Partnership (OHP). OHP was set up by local GPs who are passionate about providing highquality primary care and using their time and skills effectively to benefitpatients. We are currently a GPpartnership of 29 practices with 38 surgeries,serving around 280,000 patients in Birmingham,Wolverhampton, and Shropshire. Our head office is based in Cotteridge, but this role will be based across practices listed within this job advert. Job responsibilities Main Duties & Responsibilities Clinical Responsibilities
In accordance with the Practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holderwill be available to undertake a variety of duties including surgeryconsultations, telephone consultations, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeatprescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork, reports and correspondencein a timely fashion Triage patients presenting to the surgery by telephone, online and inperson Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presentingproblems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workerswithin the organisation Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated andundiagnosed problems Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness In consultation with patients and in line with current Practice diseasemanagement protocols, developing care plans for health and promoting healthylifestyle strategies and education Manage long-term conditions and patients with complex problems Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreedstandards Collecting data for audit purposes and complying with QOF requirements Delivering enhanced services Check, manage & process patient test results Refer patients to secondary care and/or relevant organisations andinternally within the PCN (eg to additional roles members of the PCN team) asrequired Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions(avoiding hand-written prescriptions whenever possible) in line with local andnational guidelines Prescribing in accordance with the Practice prescribing formulary (orgenerically) whenever this is clinically appropriate In general the post-holder will be expected to undertake the duties andresponsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care in a surgeryon a PCN basis

Qualifications
MBBS or equivalent medical degree Full registration with GMC Certification of Completion of Training (JCPTGP/PMETB) Inclusion on Performers List Evidence of a commitment to on-going personal & professional development Understanding of General Practice Services Understanding of Primary Care Networks and how they work Understanding the role of medical services in a wider public health agenda Knowledge of the demographic characteristics that affect health and health care in the area including health inequalities Understanding current NHS policies
