Production Manager – Nights

Elevation Recruitment Group are looking for a Production Manager / Supervisor to take ownership of production operations across a new night shift with a market leading manufacturing at their factory in Hull.

You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring production runs smoothly from planning through to delivery. Working closely with the Manufacturing Manager, you’ll lead from the front - coordinating labour, managing resources and keeping production on track.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being close to the operation, solving problems in real-time and developing high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities of the Production Manager include:

• Take ownership of projects ahead of factory start, ensuring all documentation is in place
• Plan and manage production schedules, factoring in labour requirements
• Provide shift updates to day Production Managers and Manufacturing Managers
• Monitor daily progress and communicate updates, risks and delays
• Ensure production plans are clearly communicated across the shop floor
• Schedule labour effectively to meet production demands
• Identify and respond to changing labour needs
• Ensure materials, tools and equipment are available when needed
• Work cross-functionally to resolve production challenges quickly
• Lead daily briefings and toolbox talks
• Support training and development of team members
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and processes
• Promote and maintain a safe working environment
• Drive strong housekeeping and safe systems of work
• Support continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure accurate production records and documentation
• Oversee checks and ensure compliance with processes
• Escalate issues impacting delivery in a timely manner

We’re looking for Production Managers with the below skills & experience:

• Previous experience in a leadership role within a busy manufacturing environment
• Some exposure to modular, building products or construction manufacturing would be an advantage
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Confident communicator with a hands-on leadership style
• Proactive, adaptable and committed to continuous improvement
• IOSH qualification desirable
