Job Description Night Site Manager – Commercial Refurbishment Project Location: Brighton – BN1 3XP Rate: £400 per day Contract: Freelance Shift Pattern: Night Shifts (5 Nights per Week)

\n Monday – Thursday: 7:00pm – 6:00am

Sunday: 4:00pm – up to 6:00am

Project Overview We are currently seeking an experienced Night Site Manager to join a major commercial refurbishment project in Brighton city centre. The main refurbishment works have already been completed.  Our client, the Main Contractor, has been asked to come back to extend and install a new lift system throughout the building. The project involves the reconstruction and expansion of a large glass lift structure, including extending the lift shafts through the building and converting the current structure into two operational lifts. Due to the live office environment, all works will be carried out during night shifts, requiring careful coordination and strict adherence to Health & Safety procedures. Role Overview The Night Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing all night works on site, ensuring operations are carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with programme requirements. This role requires a hands-on manager who can supervise site teams while maintaining strong communication with shopping centre management and facilities teams, ensuring minimal disruption to the operational environment. Key Responsibilities

\n Manage all night shift construction activities on site

\n

Supervise and coordinate 5–15 operatives and subcontractors

\n

Ensure works are delivered in line with programme, quality and safety standards

\n

Maintain and enforce strict Health & Safety procedures

\n

Produce Health & Safety reports and site documentation

\n

Liaise with shopping centre management and facilities teams to provide regular progress updates

\n

Conduct toolbox talks, site briefings and safety inspections

\n

Oversee works relating to lift shaft expansion, structural works and installation activities

\n

Maintain strong site organisation and housekeeping at all times

\n

Candidate Requirements

\n Strong general construction background, ideally within commercial refurbishment projects

\n

Experience working within live environments such as shopping centres, retail or public buildings

\n

Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating trades

\n

Strong Health & Safety background

\n

Essential Qualifications

\n CSCS Black Card – Essential

\n

SMSTS

\n

First Aid

\n

Desirable

NEBOSH (advantage but not essential)
