Nightshift Site Manager / Senior Supervisor (Highway Maintenance)

Location: Manchester & Liverpool (multiple sites)
Rate: £350 per shift
Contract Type: Short-term (with potential extension)
Shifts: Night work only

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Nightshift Site Manager / Senior Supervisor to oversee multiple highway maintenance projects across Manchester and Liverpool. This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership, technical knowledge of highways and drainage, and a proactive approach to health & safety and site coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and supervise nightshift operations across multiple highway maintenance sites

Oversee subcontractors, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to required standards

Coordinate and manage drainage and highways works

Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures

Complete and manage all site documentation, including permits, RAMS, and daily reports

Liaise with project managers, clients, and stakeholders as required

Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and safety briefings

Ensure proper traffic management and site setup in line with regulations

Requirements

Proven experience in a Site Manager or Senior Supervisor role within highways maintenance

Strong experience with drainage and highways projects

Valid CSCS card

SSSTS or SMSTS certification (SMSTS preferred)

Solid understanding of health & safety legislation and site compliance

Experience managing subcontractors and multiple workstreams

Ability to manage paperwork, permits, and reporting requirements effectively

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites

Additional Information

Night shifts only

Competitive rate of £350 per shift
