Non Contentious Construction Senior Associate or Managing Associate - Clean Energy and Renewables

Permanent role that can be based in London or Bristol

The Opportunity

Lex Exec is working with a leading UK law firm to recruit a Senior Associate or Managing Associate into its non contentious construction team, with a strong focus on clean energy and renewables projects.

This is a growth hire within a well established national practice that sits at the intersection of construction, projects, and energy. The team advises on complex, high value transactions across the UK and Europe and is trusted by major players operating at the forefront of the energy transition.

You will work closely with senior lawyers across multiple offices and be part of a genuinely collaborative practice that has been built deliberately to support long term growth in the clean energy space.

The Work

The role offers exposure to a broad range of clean energy and infrastructure matters, including:

• Drafting and negotiating construction and project documentation
• Advising on EPC contracts, supply agreements, and long term service arrangements
• Supporting and leading transactions across development, acquisition, and disposal stages
• Working with both bespoke and standard form documentation including FIDIC and MF/1

The client base includes international manufacturers, integrators, developers, and investors involved in complex, multi jurisdictional projects.

Sector Focus

You will work across a wide spectrum of technologies, which may include:

• Battery energy storage systems
• Solar PV
• Wind and hydro
• Energy from waste and biogas
• Hydrogen and EV charging infrastructure
• District heating and related assets

Experience in all areas is not required. A genuine interest in clean energy and infrastructure is essential.

You will be supported by a deep, multi disciplinary platform that includes specialists in real estate, corporate, finance, planning, environment, and disputes. The wider sector group spans multiple offices nationally, offering scale without siloed working.

About You

This role is likely to suit a lawyer who:

• Has 5+ years PQE in construction, projects, or commercial work
• Has experience in renewables or a strong desire to transition into clean energy

• Is comfortable taking ownership while being supported by senior colleagues
