NPI Project Engineer – Droitwich

Our client is a specialist in custom manufacturing across many industry sectors. As a NPI Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the New Product Introduction product life cycle, from initial component design to final customer approval, applying a continuous improvement approach to processes and ensuring that products meet the clients exact design specifications.
NPI Project Engineer Responsibilities:
Manage the New Product Introduction lifecycle, from initial component design to final customer approval.
Collaborate with toolmakers, customers, and internal teams to ensure efficient manufacturing processes.
Oversee tooling orders, validate tool designs, and manage the entire development process.
Plan and oversee tool trials, analysing data to ensure process capability and high-quality output.
Provide technical support to production teams, troubleshooting tooling and equipment issues.
Continuously refine and optimise manufacturing processes for efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Use CAD/SolidWorks software to review and amend engineering drawings.
NPI Project Engineer Requirements:
Previous experience working within a Project Engineer or equivalent position.
Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, CAD software, and GD&T principles.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with internal teams and external suppliers.
Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and process improvement.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience in data analysis.
