Our client is a long-established and well-regarded regional law firm based in South Yorkshire, known for its strong reputation in private client, property, and family law. The Role
This is a varied family law position offering exposure to a broad range of privately funded family matters. You will be involved in:
Managing a caseload of privately funded family law matters under supervision
Assisting senior fee earners on more complex financial remedy and private law children cases
Drafting applications, statements, and court documents
Attending client meetings and providing clear, sensitive advice
Supporting matters involving divorce, financial settlements, and children arrangements
Liaising with courts, counsel, and third parties as required
Assisting with negotiation and resolution of disputes where appropriate
You will benefit from structured supervision and a collaborative working environment, with early opportunities to develop your own client relationships.
About You
Newly Qualified Solicitor (0-1 PQE)
Experience in family law during training contract
Strong communication and client care skills
Able to demonstrate empathy, discretion, and professionalism
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Interest in developing a long-term career in family law
