Location: London

Pay: £22.00-£31.00 per hour


Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our medical imaging team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using nuclear medicine techniques, ensuring high-quality patient care and accurate results. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment, utilising advanced imaging technology such as MRI and CT scans. The ideal applicant will possess strong communication skills, a solid understanding of IT systems related to medical imaging, and a compassionate approach to patient care.


Essential Requirements:

Qualifications:

· DCR or BSc in Radiography

· Postgraduate qualification in Nuclear Medicine

· Equivalent Qualification


Experience:

· To have a minimum of two years post-qualification experience in Nuclear Medicine


Knowledge:

· Broad knowledge of routine and complex Nuclear Medicine Imaging techniques

· To provide evidence of professional development

· To have a good knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, national standards, professional and other guidelines associated with Nuclear Medicine relating to Radiation Protection and Health & Safety

· To have knowledge of current trends and developments in Imaging equipment and techniques

· To have a good understanding of the concept of CPD

· To have knowledge of QA programmes

· To have working knowledge of IR(ME)R

· To have working experience with Information Systems, Nuclear Medicine processing software and PACS


Skills:

· To have a wide range of clinical skills

· To have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

· To display enthusiasm for the post promotion of Nuclear Medicine and professional standards

Desirable Requirements

Experience

· PET/CT experience desired

· Experience with Siemens imaging equipment and MIM processing software


Skills:

· To have an interest in contributing to CPD throughout the department by undertaking study sessions or giving presentations
