Job Description

TeacherActive is currently recruiting Nursery Practitioners to work in a variety of well-established and supportive nurseries across Chelmsford.

This role is ideal for qualified childcare professionals looking for flexible work or a long-term position within early years education. You will play a key role in supporting children’s development in a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) framework Support children’s learning and development through play Ensure a safe, secure, and stimulating environment Assist with daily routines (feeding, toileting, nap times) Observe, assess, and record children’s progress Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues

Requirements

Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare (essential) Experience working in a nursery or early years setting (preferred) Knowledge of the EYFS framework Strong communication and teamwork skills A caring, patient, and enthusiastic attitude Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
