Currently rated Good by Ofsted, Jigsaw Pinner offers a nurturing environment with three bright and spacious classrooms, as well as a large, all-weather, secluded outdoor area and a nature garden—perfect for children to explore and enjoy.\n\nWe are currently seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to join our team at Jigsaw Nursery School Pinner.

Established in 1994 and recently acquired by Family First Day Nurseries, we are looking for someone passionate about early years education to help us continue delivering excellent care. This bonus is based on a 40-hour week.\n\nAs a Deputy Manager, you will:\n\nEnsure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent, and visitor at all times.\n\nUnderstand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met throughout the nursery.\n\nAssist in managing the acceptance and administration of medication and ensure care plans are thorough and up to date for children or staff with health conditions.\n\nEnsure that all children receive stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources that are appropriate to their age and stage of development.\n\nPromote respect and credibility for this position through effective communication skills, impartiality, and consistency.\n\nInspire staff team with creative ideas and new challenges with aim to achieve outstanding practice.\n\nMaintain accurate records and accounts relating to children and staff on EyMan system and on file.\n\nUndertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and safety and wellbeing of children, staff, and families.\n\n*Duties and responsibilities in this job description are not exhaustive or restrictive, changes and other duties relevant to this post may be added.\n\nRequirements and Skills for Nursery Deputy Manager:\n\nFull and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - Essential\n\nOver 1 years’ experience of working in Early Years - Essential\n\nSound knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Essential\n\nOver 1 years’ experience of working in a management position - Desirable.\n\nLevel 5 qualification in Childcare and/or Management and Leadership - Desirable\n\nExperience of successfully passing an Ofsted inspection to good or outstanding - Desirable\n\nWe are committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
