Nursery Deputy manager - Newham

Salary: £33,000 - £40,000 dependant on experience

Hours of work: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, shift patterns between 07:30 – 18:30

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Operational Support

Assist in leading staff teams, room practice, and curriculum development.

Model outstanding interactions and pedagogy for practitioners.

Support the Manager with audits, team monitoring, and quality improvements.

Manage the nursery when the Manager is off-site.

Essential Requirements

Level 3 or above in Early Years.

Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements.

Experience in a senior or supervisory role.

Ability to lead teams and model best practice.

Desirable Requirements

DSL training.

Experience leading rooms or curriculum areas.

SEND knowledge.
