Nursery Deputy Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate individual who thrives in Early Years education and is committed to delivering outstanding practice. This supernumerary role is ideal for someone who is resourceful, reliable, and demonstrates exceptional leadership as a confident and effective floor manager, while also possessing strong administrative skills. You will play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of quality across the setting, supporting staff and daily operations, and ensuring consistent, high-quality provision at all times. By taking on this role, you will enable the Deputy Manager to focus on SENCO responsibilities, helping to ensure that every child receives the support and care they need to flourish.
Experience and Knowledge: Excellent working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and current Ofsted statutory guidance. At least one years recent relevant experience. Knowledge and proven practical experience of implementing good quality learning opportunities. Skills and attributes: Empathy and understanding of children under five. Excellent verbal and communication skills with children and parents. Ability to write reports and keep clear and accurate records. Excellent organizational skills Administrative and basic IT skills Calm, self reflective and caring nature Ability to work as part of a team Able to work on own initiative

Key Skills:

? Ensure the daily routine of all three rooms are being executed to a high standard ? Delegate tasks and duties to Room Leaders and other staff members throughout the day to maintain the overall effective running of each room ? To ensure all three rooms are executing the EYFS to a high standard Ensuring weekly planning, focus planning, observations, next steps, activities, reports are consistent as well as good quality and that the children within each room are hitting their targets and milestones. ? To ensure all staff are well informed of the EYFS and how to deliver it effectively, remembering to circulate new information on any updates and changes to the framework and other relevant handbooks, including cascading information of recent training.
