Nursery Manager – SE13 (Reed Education) Permanent • Full-Time (40 hours per week) Start: ASAP Location: SE13 Children aged: 9 months – 5 years Small setting with approx. 40 children Reed Education are recruiting on behalf of a warm, welcoming and well-established nursery in SE13 for an experienced and passionate Nursery Manager to lead their team. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a management role in a small, nurturing setting renowned for high-quality early years provision. The nursery operates 52 weeks a year , is open 8am – 6pm , and offers the option of working four long days or a standard five-day week . About the Nursery This is a small, community-focused setting with around 40 children aged 9 months to 5 years . The environment is warm, homely and child-centred, with a strong emphasis on outdoor learning, creativity, and supporting children’s emotional well-being.(Reference nursery website for style/tone: Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the day-to-day running of the nursery Ensure all children receive outstanding care and early years education Oversee safeguarding, health and safety and compliance across the nursery Lead, support and motivate a small staff team Maintain excellent relationships with parents and carers Support with recruitment, supervisions and staff development Manage nursery budgets, occupancy, rotas and ratios Ensure the environment meets EYFS requirements and promotes high-quality learning Work closely with the nursery owner and wider team to continuously improve practice Support and lead on the nursery’s 3 inset days per year Requirements Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (Level 5 preferred) Strong leadership or deputy/manager experience in an early years setting Excellent understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding and Ofsted compliance Confident communicator with strong organisational skills Passionate about providing high-quality early years care Ability to inspire staff and create a positive team culture What the Nursery Offers A warm, friendly and supportive working environment Flexibility to work four long days or five standard days Opportunities for training and professional growth A small, calm setting where staff really know each child Supportive leadership and a collaborative team How to Apply If you’re an experienced and enthusiastic Early Years professional looking for the next step in your leadership career, Reed Education would love to hear from you .
