Nursery Manager Annual Salary: £150 - £200 per day Location: Lewisham Job Type: Full-time We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and highly organised Nursery Manager to lead our vibrant early-years setting in Lewisham. This role is ideal for someone passionate about providing exceptional childcare, creating a warm, nurturing environment, and driving high standards of early education. Day-to-day of the role: Lead, inspire, and support a team of early-years practitioners to deliver outstanding childcare. Ensure the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and all relevant safeguarding and welfare standards. Oversee daily operations, including staffing, room management, planning, and parent communication. Maintain excellent relationships with children, parents, carers, and external agencies. Manage recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of nursery staff. Ensure the nursery environment is safe, engaging, and stimulating, promoting learning through play. Handle administrative duties such as rotas, budgets, occupancy targets, invoicing, and record keeping. Conduct regular observations, assessments, and audits to maintain outstanding nursery standards. Champion a positive, inclusive, and supportive culture within the nursery. Required Skills & Qualifications: Level 3 or above qualification in Childcare/Early Years (e.g., NVQ, CACHE). Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements. Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within an early-years setting. Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills. Passion for delivering high-quality care and early education. Ability to build strong relationships with families and staff teams.
