Occupational Therapy Assistant

£30.81 per hour | London Borough of Hackney

Hackney Council is strengthening its Occupational Therapy and Reablement services to tackle a significant backlog and improve access to timely, person‑centred support. We are expanding our frontline workforce to increase capacity, reduce delays, and help residents receive the essential equipment, adaptations and support they need.

We are seeking a committed Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our Adult Social Care service and play a key role in delivering high‑quality, strengths‑based interventions.

About the Role

As an OTA, you will work under the supervision of qualified Occupational Therapists to:

Carry out strengths‑based OT assessments Complete reviews for residents receiving OT equipment or domiciliary care Support the assessment and provision of specialist equipment and environmental adaptations Deliver functional retraining, advice and interventions that promote safety and independence Identify risks and contribute to safeguarding processes Accurately record case notes and maintain high‑quality documentation Work collaboratively with service users, carers and a wide range of professionalsYou will also support Hackney's growing Reablement Service, including:
