Occupational Therapist – Review Team – Islington Council Islington  Council is currently recruiting a skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join their innovative Review Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to pilot a new way of working by embedding OT expertise directly into the review process. The role focuses on strengths-based, proportionate interventions to promote independence and improve outcomes for residents.

This vacancy will be for an initial 3–6 months, with strong potential for extension.

Main Duties for the Occupational Therapist include: Conducting OT-led reviews to assess current care needs and identify changes Promoting independence through reablement and proportionate equipment provision Recommending care package reductions where appropriate Collaborating with social workers and health professionals to deliver holistic support Ensuring all practice upholds dignity, safeguarding, and person-centred valuesTo Be Successful: Previous experience as a community-based Occupational Therapist Confident in functional assessments and equipment provision Strong understanding of strengths-based and proportionate care approaches HCPC Registration Enhanced DBS (can be arranged by us) Right to work in the UK Recognised Occupational Therapy qualificationBenefits of Working at Islington Council:Islington is a...
