Band 6 Occupational Therapist — School‑Based North West London

Locum for the academic year (minimum one academic term commitment)

I’m partnering with a fantastic North West London SEN school to bring in a Band 6 OT with strong equipment & wheelchair expertise and the ability to sign off manual handling assessments. This is a tight‑knit therapy team with supportive senior staff and a genuinely positive culture.

The role

• School‑based OT within a highly collaborative, MDT environment
• Complex needs caseload; equipment/wheelchair provision and reviews are central
• Manual handling assessments and sign‑off required
• Start: within the current academic year; locum with the option to extend

Must‑haves

• Band 6 level experience as an Occupational Therapist
• Proven, hands‑on experience with equipment & wheelchairs (placement-only exposure won’t be sufficient)
• Confident to complete and sign off manual handling assessments
• HCPC registered OT (essential)

Rates

• Pay: £30–£40 per hour (DOE)
