My client is seeking an experienced Overhead Line (OHL) Design Engineer with Wooden Poles knowledge to join their growing Electrical Services Design Team in London. You'll work on a diverse range of complex, high-impact energy infrastructure projects that directly support the UK's Net Zero ambitions - covering the full energy system from generation, transmission, and distribution through to storage and end-user applications in sectors like manufacturing, data, and recycling. The Role As an OHL Design Engineer, you'll play a key role in the design and delivery of new build and refurbishment OHL projects, providing technical leadership and guidance across the full project lifecycle. You'll collaborate with internal teams, clients, and contractors to ensure every project meets exacting technical, safety, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Develop and deliver OHL designs, ensuring compliance with all technical, safety, and client requirements. Provide technical input across all aspects of OHL design - including conductor sizing, insulator selection, lightning protection, structure and foundation design, and analysis.
