About the role
Are you passionate about retail and driven by data? We are looking for an Online Trading Executive to join the Waitrose team. In this role, you will be a vital gear in the Online Trade Campaigns machine, providing the administrative and operational support needed to deliver high-impact online campaigns and key space across all Waitrose channels. You’ll be at the heart of the action, coordinating end-to-end briefs that ensure a cohesive "customer first" experience, whether our shoppers are on the Homepage, Groceries Landing pages, or using our Apps. To thrive in this role, you should be a highly organized individual who can handle ambiguity and adapt to a fast‑paced digital environment.
Expected salary - Salary up to £40,000 depending on experience.
Contract type - Permanent contract.
Working pattern/flexible working - The Partnership has adopted a hybrid working approach, meaning you'll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The team aims for 2 days per week in the office to connect.
Location - Bracknell
Key responsibilities
Campaign Delivery: Brief and track key site pages in line with the Trade plan, monitoring the "go-live" process to ensure flawless execution.
Data & Analysis: Collect performance data and competitor activity to feed back into active trading and inform future campaign strategies.
Media Support: Assist the Online Trade Supplier Manager in managing media inventory, identifying opportunities to drive revenue, and resolving stakeholder queries.
Collaboration: Work closely with Media Sales and the wider Online Trade team to gather assets and ensure all media activity is executed to the highest standard.
Essential skills/experience you’ll need
Commercial awareness
Highly numerate with experience of working with data, insight & analytics
Strong levels of stakeholder management and ability to influence to deliver the best outcomes
Strong planning & time management skills with evidence of managing multiple tasks
Digital awareness - understanding of trading online & the digital environment
Trade and/or marketing campaign management
Online Trading; understands how to influence conversion, traffic and spend
Ability to generate innovative insights from data and translate these into actionable plans
Desirable skills/experience you may have
Experience working with external stakeholders/3rd parties
Understanding or experience of digital retail media eg AdTech
Experience working with Online analytics tools such as Content Square and Google Analytics.
