Position: Shift Electrical Engineer
Location: North Bristol
Pay: £50,000 per annum
Hours: Dupont Shifts - 4 shift pattern, providing 24/7 coverage as a team Day and nights on 12 hour shifts, 6am-6pm / 6pm-6am
The Shift Electrical Engineer is responsible for the effective and efficient maintenance of all production machinery, service plant equipment, and research and development machinery.
This role ensures full compliance with internal and external health and safety standards at all times. The position
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose faults, perform equipment repairs, and ensure machinery runs efficiently
Carry out planned maintenance tasks within the required timescales
Record all work completed, document any follow‑up actions, and identify future spare parts requirements
Perform machine repairs to assembly level, including workshop repairs of components
Read and work from circuit diagrams, using appropriate hand tools, machinery, diagnostic, and testing equipment
Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives, including designing and manufacturing solutions from concept to installation
Contribute to energy‑saving and sustainability efforts by identifying, reporting, or implementing improvements
Input maintenance activities into the computerised maintenance system and ensure machine drawings remain up to date
Maintain a basic understanding of quality standards and data integrity to protect product quality
Adhere strictly to hygiene and personal protective equipment rules to avoid compromising product integrityQualifications, Skills & Experience
Relevant engineering qualification
Significant engineering experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and full compliance
Good computer literacy, including Microsoft applications (experience with Agility is an advantage)
Strong prioritisation and time‑management abilities
Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
Capable of working independently as well as part of a teamBenefits
