Job Title: Assistant Vice President, Operational Resilience

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operational Resilience professional who can collaborate across all functions of the business to embed and operate the principle of “resilience by design.” The role will focus on services most critical to the organization, partnering with teams to develop processes and mechanisms that ensure resilience health information is available for decision-making, operational and technical design, and identifying vulnerabilities.


Key Responsibilities

Process and Governance

  • Leverage and enhance business architecture through improved process mapping.
  • Maintain a clear and complete view of vulnerabilities within processes, their link to business service delivery, and remediation paths.
  • Streamline processes to increase automation, reduce failure risk, and optimize operating costs.

Digital and Assets

  • Improve understanding of the technology and applications used across the organization, their role in business services, and associated threats and vulnerabilities.

Operating Environment

  • Integrate operational resilience into the design of both technology and product solutions.
  • Engage with day-to-day operations of important business services, monitor performance, and apply lessons learned from incidents to the resilience framework.
  • Participate in change programs to influence resilience improvements or risk mitigation.
  • Establish and join forums to maintain visibility of resilience health, enabling strategic decision-making for investment and risk management.
  • Drive change across the organization as the operational resilience function matures.


What We’re Looking For

  • Proven track record in Operational Risk analysis, particularly in resilience.
  • Good understanding of financial products and services, with knowledge of supporting infrastructure and dependencies.
  • Experience in technology, third-party, facilities, and people risk analysis and mitigation.
  • Project delivery experience spanning business process, technology solutions, cyber remediation, and third-party risk.
  • Skilled in business process mapping and producing management information (MI).
  • Strong analytical skills in assessing business services and processes, and their underpinning resources.
  • Capable of producing structured risk analyses and prioritization.
  • Familiarity with product and project lifecycles, and business case development for risk mitigation.
  • Confident in facilitating meetings at all organizational levels.

  • Business Analysis
  • Project Management (e.g., PRINCE2, PMI, APM)
  • Cyber Management (e.g., CISM)
