Direct and manage all corporate procurement activity across Mace consult, ensuring best-in-class procurement strategies, governance, and operational excellence for global operations. This role focuses exclusively on internal corporate spend categories such as finance, facilities management, travel, IT, HR services, marketing, and professional services. You will also drive procurement transformation initiatives and provide strategic procurement advice to support senior leadership. You’ll be responsible for: Global office support:
Managing procurement of corporate contracts and services to support Mace’s global offices. Ensuring alignment with local regulatory requirements and global standards.
Strategic leadership:
Defining and implementing corporate procurement strategy, policies, and governance frameworks. Acting as a subject matter expert, advising on procurement transformation and market shaping. Driving value creation, service excellence, and continuous improvement across all corporate procurement activities.
Corporate category management:
Overseeing procurement for all corporate categories, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Developing long-term sourcing strategies, identify potential suppliers, and manage end-to-end procurement processes.
Purchase-to-pay (p2p) management:
Owning end-to-end P2P processes for all corporate spend. Ensuring timely and accurate purchase order creation, invoice processing, and payment cycles. Driving automation and efficiency through digital tools and continuous improvement initiatives.
Contract lifecycle management:
Operating negotiation and execution of contracts with vendors, suppliers, and service providers, ensuring favourable terms and conditions. Maintaining a central contract repository and ensure compliance with contractual obligations. Monitoring supplier performance against contractual KPIs and service level agreements.
Supplier relationship management:
Building and maintaining strategic relationships with key suppliers and service providers. Managing supplier relationships to ensure quality, timely delivery, and competitive pricing. Governance and compliance Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company standards. Championing ethical procurement practices and support Mace’s net zero carbon transition goals.
Financial and commercial oversight:
Developing and managing departmental budgets, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources. Monitoring market trends and developments to identify opportunities for cost savings and procurement process improvements.
Digital and process transformation:
Driving adoption of digital procurement tools and data analytics for improved efficiency and transparency. Managing continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and enhance user experience.
Team leadership:
Managing and motivating a team of procurement professionals, setting and achieving departmental goals and objectives. Overseeing associate directors/senior managers and their teams, providing guidance and mentorship. Ensuring staff resourcing and workload delivery matters are monitored and managed effectively.
Stakeholder engagement:
Collaborating with internal entities and stakeholders to ensure alignment of procurement policies and practices.
You’ll need to have:
You are digitally savvy, able to build strong internal stakeholder relationships, and lead high-performing, motivated teams. You bring deep expertise in corporate procurement and are passionate about driving transformation and delivering value. MCIPS qualification (or equivalent professional membership) is essential. Extensive experience in corporate procurement leadership, including category management and strategic sourcing. Strong knowledge of contract law, supplier governance, compliance, and risk management. Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and deliver complex procurement transformation programs. Expertise in market shaping, supply chain management, and assurance within corporate environments. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and commercial skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Digitally savvy, with hands-on experience in ERP and procurement platforms. Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, able to influence at senior levels. Agile and flexible, with strong time management and resilience. Inspiring, inclusive, and accountable leaders foster collaboration and creates opportunities for others. Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships, showing emotional intelligence and adaptability. Commercially astute, with a proven track record of driving cost savings and operational efficiency.
