Job DescriptionOperations Manager\n\nLocation: Hybrid- 3/2 model- Central London office Reports To: Senior Operations Lead Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent\n£60k salary 5 days per week\n\nRole Overview\nOur client is a growing agency working with a range of clients across multiple sectors. As the organisation continues to expand, they are seeking an Operations Manager to support the day-to-day running of the business and strengthen operational delivery.\nThis role plays a key part in ensuring teams are effectively resourced, operational systems remain accurate, and projects are tracked and supported throughout their lifecycle. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to improve visibility, manage priorities, and help ensure work is delivered efficiently and profitably.\nThis is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys creating structure, improving processes, and supporting teams in a fast-paced environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nResource & Capacity Planning\n
\n Track team utilisation and workload across active projects \n
Identify capacity issues early and flag potential delivery risks \n
Coordinate resourcing requirements, including managing external contractor needs \n
Maintain visibility of availability across the team and upcoming workload \n
Support onboarding of contractors and temporary support where required \n
\nOperational Systems & Reporting\n
\n Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in internal project and client systems \n
Ensure timelines, staffing details, and delivery information are consistently recorded \n
Produce regular reports on resource allocation, project progress, and pipeline activity \n
Identify ways to reduce manual work and improve system efficiency \n
\nProject Tracking & Financial Oversight\n
\n Monitor project budgets and track time spent against planned time \n
Highlight projects that are trending over or under budget and provide clear commentary \n
Support post-project reviews to improve forecasting and delivery performance \n
Work with delivery teams to understand where estimates and actuals differ \n
\nProcess Improvement & Operational Support\n
\n Identify operational bottlenecks and propose practical improvements \n
Standardise processes to reduce inconsistencies and operational risk \n
Improve internal ways of working through small-scale process and system changes \n
Support leadership with operational planning and problem-solving as needed \n
\nSkills & Experience\nEssential\n
\n Experience in operations, resourcing, project coordination, or similar roles \n
Strong working knowledge of operational systems (e.g., project tracking, CRM, or workflow tools) \n
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail \n
Confident working with data, reporting, and basic financial tracking \n
Able to manage multiple tasks and competing deadlines \n
Proactive and solutions-focused, able to work independently \n
Strong communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders \n
\nDesirable\n
\n Experience in a client-facing professional services environment \n
Experience coordinating external contractors or freelance teams \n
Familiarity with project budgeting, profitability tracking, or time-based billing models \n
\nInterest in improving internal processes and operational efficiency\n \n
