Job Description

Global Tier 1 Automotive Manufacturer in the West Midlands are currently looking for an Operation Manager to join the team and help really drive major managerial change in their world class manufacturing facility. \n\nWith the business in a very strong place & a strong order book; the Operations Manager will be responsible for the continuing improvement of the business whilst managing direct reports in Quality, Maintenance, Process Improvement & Tooling.\n \nReporting into the Plant Manager; you will be a strong communicator and will be a key advocate for Engagement with internal stakeholders, the workforce & external stakeholders. You will be a key ambassador for Quality, Health & safety, Your People, Cost & Delivery.

You will be a key part of driving cultural change on site & help motivate and improve your team. \n \nThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in fast paced complex manufacturing environments. \n \nRole: Operation Manager \nSalary: up to £65,000 per annum (depending on experience) + bonus + benefits \nLocation: Wolverhampton \n \nKey Responsibilities for the Operation Manager\n\nOversee day-to-day operations using the SQCDP review & implement improvements where possible. \nDevelop and grow your direct reports and the team around you to build a positive and nurturing environment. \nImplementation and review of Standard Operating Procedures/KPIs across your department\nManage and mentor a diverse team, fostering engagement and professional growth.\nDriving a strong culture of Health & Safety on site. \nLeading and driving Continuous Improvement activities\nHelping lead a multi skilled Engineering team as well as leading your management team\n\nKey Requirements for the Operations Manager:\n\nTangible record of Success in a Senior Management role within an OEM/Tier 1 Environment within Automotive (essential) \nQualification in Engineering (Degree, HNC, HND) ideal \nA solid exposure to Lean Principles, Continuous Improvement\nStrong communication skills is key; forging strong relationship with the your various direct reports\nEngagement & Empowerment will be key to this role \nThis is a great chance for the right Operations Manager to help a globally backed business to continue its journey of success.
