Job purpose and objectives:


We are seeking a proactive and people-focused Operations Manager to join our team. In this key role, you will work closely with both internal teams and external customers to maintain strong business relationships and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.


Responsibilities and Functions:


Operational Leadership

  • Oversee daily site operations, ensuring adherence to business plans and quality objectives.
  • Provide direct support and guidance to supervisors and seasonal operatives.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for operational issues, resolving challenges promptly.


Compliance and Quality Management

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Manage audits and inspections, closing out actions and maintaining accurate records.
  • Monitor and implement objectives from the business and quality plans.


Logistics and Supply Chain Coordination

  • Plan and manage material movements, working closely with haulage companies and suppliers.
  • Coordinate deliveries and ensure efficient scheduling to meet production demands.


Performance Monitoring and Reporting

  • Track operational KPIs and prepare reports for senior management.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.


Stakeholder Engagement

  • Liaise with internal teams and external partners to maintain strong relationships.
  • Represent the site in meetings and contribute to strategic discussions.


IT and Systems Management

  • Use Microsoft Office Suite for reporting, planning, and communication.
  • Perform basic SAP tasks such as goods receipting.


Key Skills and Experience:


  • Previous experience as Operations Manager or Supervisor seeking progression
  • Strong understanding of compliance, audits, and logistics
  • Stakeholder engagement and planning skills
  • IT competence (Microsoft Office Suite, SAP basics)
