What you'll be doing; * Ensure the cost effective management of the services on the Bromley contract, including two Transfer Stations and two HWRCs. * Manage a circa 30 employee workforce. * Ensure the sites have competent operational staff who feel empowered and motivated. * Ensure staff are fully trained and identify areas of training needed. * Ensure KPIs are met to ensure financial penalties are not applied. * Responsible for the safety of the workforce and ensuring a safety first culture is at the centre of activities and all HR processes are adhered to. * Ensure material is dispatched as per waste flow requirements. * Maximise and fully utilise the fixed and mobile plant on site. * Ensure the budget is met, reviewed and costs are monitored. * Ensure compliance on the contract. * Work to reduce absence, accidents and injuries. * Ensure effective management of any defects and ensure that all damage to property and vehicles is reported promptly. * Maintain and evolve a partnership approach with council officers and the wider Veolia regional team acting as a key contact and deputising for the Senior Contract Manager, as required. What we're looking for; Essential: * Experience of people management, developing and training teams. * IOSH and good working knowledge of Health and Safety regulations. * Experience within waste transfer services & the waste industry. * COTC (Certificate of Technical Competence) Transfer Hazardous. * Strong communication skills. * IT literate with experience using operational management systems.
