As an Operations Team Leader, you will need to have:Previous experience leading a teamA good level of general IT literacyBasic knowledge of Excel and OutlookThe ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environmentStrong communication and organisational skillsThe ability to work both independently and as part of a teamA proactive and hands-on approachFlexibility to work on site, full timeRole of an Operations Team Leader:Support the planning of staffing levels to maximise productivity without affecting service levelsCoordinate inbound, outbound and pre-retail shipments to ensure timely and accurate deliveryUse the WMS to complete inbound and outbound tasks while maintaining stock accuracySupport parcel processing, returns, goods-in and load scanning activitiesCarry out manual handling duties, including wrapping pallets, moving boxes and lifting where requiredLead and supervise agency workers, assigning tasks and ensuring KPIs are metSupport and motivate the team by monitoring performance and maintaining standardsDeal with poor performance or negative behaviour promptly and professionallyWork closely with other Team Leaders to ensure all departments run efficientlyTake full responsibility for the department during your shiftComplete site inductions for new starters and agency workers, and provide training where requiredEnsure SOPs are accurate and report any updates neededHelp drive continuous improvement across warehouse operationsMaintain high standards of housekeeping, health and safety, and compliance at all times Please Note: This role requires previous team leader experience. Warehouse experience is advantageous, but not essential.Temporary to permanent role, with the opportunity to become permanent after 12 weeks if successful the period.
