We’re looking for an Organisation Design Lead to join our People & Change team.
You will play a critical role in ensuring our business is structured for agility, resilience, and performance in a rapidly evolving energy landscape whilst we continue to deliver safe, reliable, and sustainable energy to the communities we serve.
In this new role, you will lead the design and implementation of future-fit operating models that:
•Make leadership accountability clear;
•Enhance team effectiveness;
•Ensures talent pathways are well-defined;
•Enable fair and competitive reward; and
•Embrace process and technology modernisation.
Along with a competitive salary between £50,00 and £60,000, depending on experience, we also offer;
•Up to 15% annual performance bonus;
•Car allowance
•Enrolment into our double-matched pension scheme; and
•25 days holiday per year increasing with tenure, plus bank holidays.
Can be based from either our Newcastle, Sunderland or Castleford locations
Key Responsibilities
•Partner with business leaders to evolve operating models that drive efficiency, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration.
•Lead development of organisational structures aligned with strategic goals, regulatory needs, and operational excellence.
•Provide expert consulting on organisation design, including diagnostics, role clarity, spans and layers, and governance frameworks.
•Facilitate collaborative design workshops that foster trust, shared purpose and alignment with business goals and culture.
•Consult with leaders to diagnose team dynamics and work with the wider People and Change team to implement tailored strategies to build stronger, high-performing teams.
•Ensure clear, sensible job structures and role titles in organisational design that support career pathways, internal mobility and succession planning.
•Define job levels and titles to align with fair, competitive reward frameworks and market benchmarks.
•Develop and embed practical organisation design principles across the business.
•Provide external insights on trends and best practices to inform organisation design decisions.
•Advise leaders on improving operating models through change initiatives.

Skills & Experience
Essential Qualifications and Experience.
•Degree in HR, Business, Organisation Development, or related field, or equivalent experience.
•Experience in organisation design, operating model transformation, and team effectiveness.
•Excellent stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and change leadership skills.
•Analytical and systems-thinking mindset with a focus on practical outcomes.
Desirable Qualifications
•Professional certification in Organisation Design, Change Management, or Talent Development is advantageous.
•Experience working in or with regulated industries, ideally energy or utilities.
