Job Description:
Overhead Crane Operator
Hours:
* Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 4:00pm
* Friday: 6:00am – 3:00pm
* Includes a 20-minute break & 30-minute lunch
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Overhead Crane Operator to join our manufacturing team. If you have experience operating cranes and heavy machinery, take pride in precision and safety, and want to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment, this is the role for you.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate overhead cranes to lift, move, and position materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
* Perform pre-operational equipment checks to ensure safety and functionality.
* Coordinate lifts and movements with ground crew members to maintain safe operations.
* Maintain accurate records of materials handled and crane operations.
* Carry out routine maintenance on cranes and report any mechanical issues promptly.
* Ensure strict compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
* Assist with loading and unloading materials in warehouse settings as needed.
* Engage in materials handling tasks, including digging, building, or moving as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Proven experience as a Crane Operator or in a similar role in manufacturing or construction.
* Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
* Familiarity with warehouse operations, shipping, receiving, and materials handling.
* Valid crane operator certification or relevant qualifications .
* Experience operating forklifts is an advantage; commercial driving experience is a plus.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment while strictly adhering to safety protocols.
* Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
