Role Overview
The Automotive Paint Inspector will be responsible for End of Line (EOL) inspection of painted automotive parts and panels, ensuring all components meet required quality standards before final approval. You will play a key role in identifying surface defects, preventing quality escapes, and supporting overall production excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct EOL inspection of painted parts and panels
Inspect for defects such as:
Dents
High spots / low spots
Orange peel
Scratches in the metal or paint
Other surface imperfections
Check paint temperatures and ensure correct application
Approve or reject components based on final quality standards
Document and report defects in accordance with quality procedures
Work closely with production teams to support corrective actions and continuous improvement
Ensure adherence to health and safety standards in the work area
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in automotive paint inspection or quality control, ideally within an EOL environment
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify surface imperfections
Understanding of paint processes and metal finishing
Good communication skills and ability to document inspection findings
Reliable, punctual, and able to work early shift patterns
