Painting / Coatings Supervisor (Black Hat)

Permanent £85,000

We are looking for a supervisor that will be responsible for Piping Spools & related steel / support painting activities, planning, organising the painting teams and reporting.

Main Responsibilities

- Ensure the requirements of EN and PED are satisfied

- Report on the performance of the painting activities to the Construction Manager.

- Responsible for ensuring that all personnel in the group are aware of each Project's quality and HSE requirement

- Ensure that painting works are performed in accordance with the requirements contract, specifications, approved procedures, method statements, design, ITPs, codes and standards, regulations.

- Responsible to clean the categorized punch list.

- Monitor painters performances and provide reports on their job performance

- Monitor painting defects and initiate corrective actions where required

- Supervise painters in performing the painting activities.

- Select material and hardware and make time and materials estimates.

- Comply with the COSHH assessments

- Coordination of construction activities with Hydrotest Supervisor & Scaffolding Coordinator.

- Ensure painters and insulators are certified against stipulated requirements and competent

- Ensure that the painting materials are loaded, unloaded, stocked in a safe and secure place.

Skill and qualifications

Minimum 10 years experience in a similar position

Advanced English skills

Knowledge on standards

TTP Coatings Supervisor Card

Can achieve Security Clearance (BPSS)

Hold or Can achieve CCNSG Safety Passport or HS&E test for supervisors
