Job Title: Experienced Paraplanner (Working Towards Advising)

About the Company: Our client is a respected and growing Independent Financial Advisory (IFA) firm with a strong focus on high-quality financial planning and client outcomes. The business is known for its professional, compliance-driven approach and commitment to delivering tailored advice solutions. You will be joining a collaborative team working alongside experienced Chartered Financial Planners and administration specialists.
Key Responsibilities: Writing detailed client suitability reports and suitability letters
Conducting pension switching and investment portfolio analysis
Performing Lifetime Allowance and Carry Forward calculations
Carrying out fund research and investment analysis
Supporting and maintaining accurate financial questionnaires and client records
Liaising with administrators to ensure efficient workflow and task completion
Working closely with Chartered Financial Planners and administration teams
Supporting ad-hoc investment campaigns as required
Maintaining a clear audit trail across all client files to ensure compliance standards are met
Managing personal task lists and prioritising workload effectively
Liaising with clients throughout the advice process to support relationship management
Ensuring report templates and internal documentation remain up to date
What Were Looking For: Experience within a financial services environment with strong product and provider knowledge
Previous experience producing suitability reports and client-facing documentation
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workload effectively
Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong client and team relationships
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Strong compliance and regulatory awareness
Ability to take initiative, problem-solve and work independently
Confident IT skills, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to learn and adapt to different back-office systems and platforms
Experience within an IFA environment (ideally Chartered)
Currently working towards or holding a Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning
Desirable Skills: Exposure to Chartered Financial Planning environments
Experience working towards Adviser status
Strong analytical skills in pensions and investment planning
Familiarity with back-office systems and financial planning tools
Experience supporting complex financial planning cases
