Senior Paraplanner


Location: Bristol, hybrid working – 3 days office 2 days WFH.

Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 + Discretionary Bonus + Benefits

Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Paraplanner to join our clients Bristol office. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a global wealth management company, supporting Financial Planners in delivering high-quality advice and client service. You will play a key role in report writing, technical research, mentoring junior team members, and enhancing paraplanning processes and tools.


Key Responsibilities

  • Draft suitability reports in line with compliance and departmental standards.
  • Collaborate with Financial Planners to ensure complete and accurate client information.
  • Interpret adviser meeting notes and prepare tailored recommendations with precision.
  • Provide technical guidance to advisers to support good consumer outcomes.
  • Uphold Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles and ensure a consistent client experience.
  • Maintain high standards of data quality and compliance across all processes.
  • Update workflow systems to support accurate and timely management reporting.
  • Manage personal caseload efficiently and maintain up-to-date records.
  • Conduct research and analysis on existing client policies and schemes.
  • Generate illustrations and Key Features documentation to support advice.
  • Stay current with industry developments and maintain technical expertise.
  • Coach, mentor, and support the development of junior paraplanners.
  • Champion best practices and process adherence across the team.
  • Identify and implement improvements to paraplanning processes.


Requirements for Senior Paraplanner:

  • Qualifications:
  • Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (minimum)
  • Level 6 or working towards Level 6 (preferred)
  • Experience & Skills:
  • Minimum 10 years of paraplanning experience
  • Strong technical knowledge across financial planning areas
  • Proven mentoring and coaching abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and analytical mindset
  • Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive approach
