POSITION: Lifeguard

RESPONSIBLE TO: Swimming Co-Ordinator and Health & Fitness Manager

MAIN DUTIES:

To ensure the safety and wellbeing of all pool users while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and customer service across all wet side facilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintained constant vigilance of pool areas*, ensuring the safety of all users and proactively preventing incidents.

• Conducted regular inspections of indoor and outdoor spa areas, ensuring full compliance with health & safety standards and pool regulations.

• Enforced pool rules and safety procedures, minimising unsafe behaviour and reducing risk across all poolside & Spa facilities.

• Responded effectively to emergency situations, delivering first aid and CPR in line with RLSS standards to ensure swimmer safety.

• Completed all administrative tasks accurately and efficiently, including safety checks, incident reports, and daily logs.

• Delivered excellent customer service, enhancing overall visitor experience and satisfaction.

• Maintained a valid RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) and completed regular training to remain fully compliant.

• Supported the cleanliness and organisation of facilities, contributing to a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment.

• Collaborated effectively with team members to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, particularly during busy periods.

• Communicated clearly and professionally with customers, resolving queries and promoting a safe environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Will be required to work evenings and weekends.

• Working within a Humid environment.
