About the Fund

A brand-new venture capital fund has been seeded with £10 million to pursue a high-growth, acquisition-driven strategy. The fund’s mission is to identify, acquire, and scale high-potential startups, predominantly in the Biotech, Med tech and tech enabled space with a view to strategic exits over a 3- 5 year horizon. The fund is led by an owner with a proven track record of high-performance exits and capital deployment.

Role Overview

The Partner will be a founding investment leader responsible for driving the fund’s investment strategy, building the pipeline, and ensuring operational and financial success across portfolio companies. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone looking to take significant equity in a new venture while shaping the direction of the fund from day one.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, originate, and evaluate investment opportunities in high-growth startups across multiple sectors.
• Lead due diligence, structuring, and execution of acquisitions.
• Build and maintain relationships with co-investors, LPs, and key stakeholders.
• Partner with portfolio company leadership to drive operational and strategic growth.
• Monitor and manage portfolio performance, reporting to the fund owner and investors.
• Contribute to capital raising efforts for follow-on funds or additional funding rounds.

Candidate Profile

• Proven track record in venture capital or private equity, ideally with experience in acquisitions, startup growth, or scaling portfolio companies. preferably in the Biotech /Med tech space
• Demonstrated ability to originate deals and raise capital successfully.
• Strong operational understanding to support portfolio company growth.
• Strategic thinker with a clear ability to create value through investment and operational insight.
• Equity-motivated: ideal for candidates who do not currently hold meaningful equity in their existing fund and are seeking a stake in a new venture.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
