Pastry Chef de Partie - Alba Restaurant We are seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team at Alba. As a Pastry Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting a variety of desserts, pastries, and other baked goods. This role requires expertise in pastry techniques, creativity in dessert design, and a keen eye for detail. Key Responsibilities: Pastry Preparation : Prepare a variety of desserts, pastries, and other baked goods according to established recipes and standards. Quality Control : Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation for all pastry items, maintaining high-quality standards. Baking and Decoration : Bake and decorate cakes, tarts, and other desserts with creativity and precision. Inventory Management : Monitor inventory levels of pastry ingredients and supplies, and communicate with management about stock needs. Kitchen Cleanliness : Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following proper sanitation and food safety practices. Team Collaboration : Work closely with other pastry chefs, kitchen staff, and front-of-house personnel to ensure a seamless dining experience. Creativity and Innovation : Contribute ideas for new desserts and pastries, and participate in menu development and seasonal offerings. Compliance and Safety : Follow health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe kitchen environment. Qualifications: Experience : Previous experience in pastry and baking, preferably in a restaurant or bakery setting. Technical Skills : Proficiency in various pastry techniques, including cake decoration, bread baking, and confectionery. Attention to Detail : A keen eye for detail to ensure consistent quality and presentation in all pastry items. Teamwork : Ability to work collaboratively with other kitchen staff and contribute to a positive team environment. Problem-Solving : Ability to resolve kitchen-related issues quickly and efficiently. Time Management : Skill in managing multiple tasks and prioritizing during busy service periods. Flexibility : Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
