Patent Secretary – Basingstoke


Our client is seeking an experienced Patent Secretary with a minimum of 12 months’ secretarial experience within an intellectual property (IP) environment. The successful candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, a proactive and positive attitude, and strong organisational abilities. The role requires someone who can effectively manage competing priorities and meet multiple deadlines.


Experience with invoicing and familiarity with Inprotech software would be highly advantageous.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and formatting correspondence and legal documentation
  • Liaising with clients, agents, and other stakeholders
  • Maintaining and updating internal records and databases, including Inprotech
  • Delivering tailored administrative support to meet specific client requirements, including use of client document management systems and portals
  • Preparing and issuing invoices
  • Working Arrangements & Salary:

    • Hybrid working model
    • Salary: £30,000 – £35,000, depending on experience
