Pay & Bill Manager – Full-Time | On-Site | London

We partner with some of the most exciting and transformative companies in the industry—many of them VC-funded start-ups and scale-ups—to help build out their core teams from the ground up.

As we continue our rapid expansion, we’re hiring a Pay & Bill Manager to join our finance team in our brand-new London office. This is a key role responsible for managing the full pay & bill lifecycle, supporting our contractors, clients, and internal teams through efficient and accurate financial processes.

What you'll be doing:

• Manage the end-to-end pay and bill process, including weekly timesheet collection, validation, and contractor payments
• Raise and issue client invoices in line with contracts and billing schedules
• Monitor and chase outstanding payments, reducing aged debt and maintaining strong client relationships
• Liaise with consultants and clients to ensure correct billing setup and resolution of queries
• Handle credit control activities and manage debtor ledgers
• Maintain compliance with IR35 and other relevant legislation across UK and EU placements
• Reconcile contractor payroll with finance systems and external providers
• Produce margin and billing reports for senior leadership
• Lead improvements to billing and finance operations as the business scales
• Support broader finance activities and audits as needed

What we’re looking for:

• Experience in a Pay & Bill or similar finance role, ideally within the recruitment or staffing industry
• Strong understanding of timesheet, invoicing, and credit control processes
• Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Confident communicator with a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Familiarity with systems such as Bullhorn, Xero, or similar recruitment finance tools
• A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
