Job Title: Payroll Administrator
Location: Devon
Working Pattern: Office-based Initially - 1 day from home thereafter
Contract: Permanent & Full-Time
Salary: £27,000
The Role
You will take responsibility for managing end-to-end payroll processes across a varied client portfolio. This includes handling different payroll frequencies and complexities, ensuring compliance with current legislation, and maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Processing payrolls from start to finish across a range of clients.
Managing RTI submissions and year-end processes.
Administering starters, leavers, and payroll changes.
Supporting pension processing and auto-enrolment duties.
Handling BACS payments.
Liaising with clients, HMRC, and pension providers.
Responding to payroll queries in a timely and professional manner.
Maintaining accurate payroll records and documentation.
Keeping up to date with payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
Candidate Profile
Minimum of 2 years’ payroll experience.
Strong working knowledge of end-to-end payroll processes.
Experience managing multiple payrolls with varying pay frequencies (e.g. weekly, monthly, bonuses, commissions).
Background in accountancy practice or industry payroll environments.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and payroll systems (experience with Sage is advantageous).
